Resumo

Introdução: A ansiedade é um transtorno prevalente entre adultos jovens, impactando negativamente a qualidade de vida e o desempenho funcional. Nesse contexto, o exercício físico tem sido amplamente investigado como uma estratégia não farmacológica para a redução dos sintomas de ansiedade.

Objetivo: Identificar e sintetizar as evidências científicas disponíveis sobre os efeitos da atividade física / treinamento físico sobre sintomas de ansiedade presentes na literatura especialmente no contexto pós-pandemia da CoViD-19.

Método: Trata-se de uma revisão narrativa da literatura, realizada a partir da busca em bases de dados eletrônicas, incluindo PubMed, SciELO e LILACS, no período de 2020 a 2025. Foram utilizados descritores relacionados à ansiedade e exercício físico. Os critérios de inclusão envolveram estudos originais, disponíveis na íntegra, publicados em português e inglês. Foram excluídos estudos duplicados, revisões e artigos que não abordavam diretamente a temática.

Resultado e Discussão: Os estudos analisados demonstraram que a prática regular de exercício físico está associada à redução significativa dos níveis de ansiedade, com destaque para exercícios aeróbicos e programas estruturados. Observou-se melhora nos parâmetros psicológicos e fisiológicos, com impacto positivo na saúde mental.

Conclusão: O exercício físico mostrou-se uma estratégia eficaz na redução da ansiedade em adultos jovens, podendo ser utilizado como abordagem complementar no manejo clínico desses pacientes.
