The Revista de Educação Física / Journal of Physical Education is a Brazilian Army publication for scientific knowledge dissemination in Physical Education and related areas. It is the oldest national journal in the area of Physical Education, with its first edition dating from 1932.

Originally published by the Brazilian Army School of Physical Education, at the Brazilian Army Center for Physical Training, our journal values the quality and accuracy of information conveyed. The Revista de Educação Física / Journal of Physical Education exhibits pioneering spirit and have always faced the challenge of following the scientific development of knowledge. The Journal publications comprehend Physical Education and related areas and aims to achieve professionals and students who wish to broaden their knowledge.

In recent years, the Editorial Board soughs to achieve two main objectives: enhance the scientific rigor of the articles published by the Journal, in order to index and rank in several relevant indexers (national and international) speed up information conveyed by keeping its quarterly basis.

After completing 83 years of existence, in 2015, the Revista de Educação Física / Journal of Physical Education returned to innovate presenting a new layout to improve readability and it is changing to online version and accepting manuscripts in Portuguese, English and Spanish.
