Abstract
Introduction: Wearable technologies have transformed the human performance scenario especially in the context of tactical athletes — professionals such as the military, police and firefighters. Such technologies include electronic devices that can be used directly on the body or incorporated into clothing, which allows the continuous monitoring of physiological parameters essential to human health and performance.
Objective: Identify wearable technologies that can be utilized to optimize the operational performance of tactical athletes.
Conclusion: After identifying wearable technologies, one can observe high relevance of their use for tactical athlete training planning. It was discussed here with a view to improving the operational performance of military personnel. Devices such as smartwatches, motion sensors (accelerometers), muscle activity (electromyography: EMG), temperature, and glucose allow real-time control of critical parameters. Furthermore, innovations such as smart glasses, rings, clothing, and footwear complement this technological ecosystem with strategic data and decision-making support. Thus, those tools are consolidated as fundamental allies for safety, efficiency and preparation of professionals who work in high-demand operational contexts.
