Mission
The Revista de Educação Física / Journal of Physical Education's mission is to be an international relevant scientific information vehicle on Sports Sciences and Sports Management areas publishing high quality articles.
The fundamental characteristic of the Revista de Educação Física / Journal of Physical Education is the multidisciplinary character, and its scope includes: physiological, biomechanical, psychological, nutritional and epidemiological studies of physical activity - including sports, exercise and physical training, related to health and physical fitness.
Topics in Sports Management area include organizational theory, behavior and strategy, sports interventions, sports management and health, law and politics, economics, finance and accounting, marketing, consumer behavior, sponsorship, advertising and licensing, media, communication and public relations, sports tourism, organization and management of major sports events are also part of the scope.
In addition, one of the relevant themes is the historical aspects of Physical Education, which in Brazil originally relates to the Revista de Educação Física / Journal of Physical Education.
Revista de Educação Física / Journal of Physical Education aims to contribute to the existing knowledge, goal that originates from a determination of the Department of Education and Culture Army (DECEX). According to Brazilian law, there must be integration of the academic with the scientific community. This Journal is a scientific publishing of the Brazilian Army Center for Physical Training (Centro de Capacitação Física do Exéercito - CCFEx) produced in cooperation with its subordinate military organizations.
MISSION SUMMARY: DISCLOSE SCIENTIFIC KNOWLEDGE PROVIDING HIGH QUALITY PUBLICATIONS IN SPORT SCIENCE AND SPORTS MANAGEMENT, CONTRIBUTING TO EXCELLENCE IN PHYSICAL TRAINING FOR THE GROUND FORCE.
Future Vision
To achieve, by 2019, A1 qualification Coordination of Higher Education Staff Development (Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento do Pessoal de Ensino Superior: CAPES) of the Ministry of Education (MEC), which will recognizes the Journal as one of the most relevant in the scientific context, and will highlights the integrating CCFEx's actions in Physical Education and Sports Medicine, based on the skills of the professional military of the Knowledge Age.
